BSI Racing Enjoys a Successful July Ahead of Pivotal August

Daytona, FL –

August 5, 2025

July saw hot temps and hotter action for the three programs at BSI Racing. With multiple wins, and podiums across each platform, the team looks ahead to August with everything on the line as we head into the final stages of the season.

In IMSA’s VP Challenge - GSX Class, Toyota Supra GT-4 driver Steven Clemons has found his groove. After a tough start to the season at Daytona, Clemons has come roaring back to sit second in the points in his class.

Having earned his first win in pro-racing at Mid-Ohio in June, Clemons found himself P2 after race one at CTMP in mid-July.Unfortunately, storms rolled into the area, canceling race two, thus cutting the race weekend short for the no. 67. Clemons will look to regain the top step at VIR later this month.

Staying on the Toyota front, Westin Workman extended his points championship lead in the Toyota GR Cup North America, with a double-podium, and a win in race two at VIR last month. Workman battled back in race one to earn a P3 finish, before racking up his third win of the season in race two.

Workman sits atop the Toyota GR Cup standings with 149 points, 39 points clear of Lucas Weisenberg who sits in second. With three race weekends to go, Workman takes his lead and momentum to Road America later this month.

Lastly, things could not be closer in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin.

After missing the top-step at Mid-Ohio, Tyler Gonzalez and BSI returned to their winning ways in the series with a back-and-forth win in race 1 at CTMP. Though the win wasn’t enough to get Gonzalez back to the top of the points standings in Canada, it did put him back into third overall, well within striking distance of first place.

With just two race weekends left, a crucial date at VIR looms later this month with an opportunity to regain the championship lead.

That wasn’t the only success of the weekend either. Rookie Helio Meza grabbed his second P2 finish of the season in race one at CTMP. With the addition of fellow rookie Noah Harmon to the team, BSI likes their chances to see another Rookie championship under its tent with only 50 points separating the two, with Noah having the edge on Meza.

“We’re right in the middle of it all,” said team owner Shea Holbrook.

“I’m loving it, but I don’t want to get ahead of ourselves. Our goals are right in front of us, but we have to stay focussed and absolutely cannot let up. It should be a very exciting end to the season.”
