Daytona, Fl -

The red carpet was unfurled for BSI Racing in St. Petersburgh, Florida last weekend. With it, came moments of pride and glory as the team notched its second win of the season. Now, BSI heads to Barber Motorsports Park with a heap of momentum and a place on the world stage after the premiere of Amazon Prime’s sports-original, “First to the Finish”.

The weekend kicked off with the screening of the very first episode of a new docuseries that centers on the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, presented by Michelin, and the women that are involved in the series. Each week, audiences will get a look behind the curtain at the ins and outs of the competitive series that features BSI team principal, Shea Holbrook as a protagonist.

A selected audience, including members of BSI Racing were given the opportunity to screen the first episode on Thursday evening. Participants, including Holbrook took part in a panel discussion about their reaction to the show, as well as a teaser for what is to come.

“This is a massive deal for BSI and the series,” said team owner, Shea Holbrook.

“Everyone will get to see what we do daily to put on one of the best shows in racing. I think audiences will ultimately come to love BSI and the brand of racing that we put on, so I couldn’t be more excited for what this show is going to for us, and everyone else involved with the MX-5 Cup.”

With the show premiering on Prime Video on March 25, audiences will get the chance to catch up on last season’s events, while following along for the rest of the 2025 season.

That wasn’t the only highlight though.

BSI notched its second win of the season after Tyler Gonzalez held off a fierce effort from the rest of the field in race two on Sunday afternoon. The win marked second win for Gonzalez as well, giving a jolt in the arm for his championship chances.

“It was a chaotic end to what started as a calm race, but I wouldn’t have it any other way,” said driver Tyler Gonzalez.

“It was cool running 1-2 with Westin (Workman) there for a while, but when that full-course caution came out, it was time to make it happen and put BSI and Classic Mazad of Orlando back on that top step.”

BSI Racing will take the months of March and April to prepare for rounds 5 & 6 at Barber Motorsports Park, in early May. Until then, you can relive all of the excitement from the weekend on YouTube and racer.com, all season long.
